DF Creative Bar was born from a simple conversation between friends.

One afternoon, a group of us found ourselves talking about how little there was to do in our beautiful little town. Like many adults, we realised that socialising often meant only one thing—going to a restaurant or a pub. We wanted something different. Something that encouraged conversation, creativity and genuine connection.

So we decided to create it ourselves.

With the help of the beautiful Little Rock Caravan Park, we hosted a free community gathering called Creative Freedom. Everyone was welcome. Some brought paintbrushes, others brought books, and some simply came to enjoy the company and the peaceful surroundings. Around twenty people spent the day creating, laughing and connecting in nature. It was everything we had hoped for.

Not long afterwards, I came across a Paint & Sip event online, and suddenly everything clicked.

Why couldn’t adults have a space where they could enjoy a drink, be creative, and leave with something they had made themselves?

We hosted our very first Paint & Sip event—and it was an incredible success. One event became another, then another, until we had hosted several sold-out experiences. When our original venue eventually closed, we could have stopped.

Instead, we chose to keep creating.

We found a small, intimate space and transformed it into our own colourful little playground—a place where perfection isn’t expected, creativity is celebrated, and everyone is welcome.

Today, DF Creative Bar is more than an art studio.

Instead of a traditional food menu, we offer a Creative Menu filled with experiences. Whether you choose to paint on canvas, explore watercolours, decorate ceramics, colour mindfully, or simply enjoy a coffee while creating, there’s something for every age and every skill level.

One of our greatest joys is welcoming children into our space during the day. We believe creativity is something we should never outgrow, and we hope every child who visits learns to embrace their imagination with confidence—and every adult remembers that their inner child is still worth celebrating.

As we’ve grown, so have our offerings. We now host private paint parties, birthday celebrations, team-building events, bridal showers, baby showers, family gatherings, travelling paint experiences and more. We also create children’s party favours and themed creative packs to help make every celebration a little more colourful.

At DF Creative Bar, we don’t believe art is about being perfect.

We believe it’s about making memories, finding peace, sharing laughter, building confidence and reminding ourselves that creativity belongs to everyone.
